Criminal Psychologists have found that there are three major warning signs for the root causes of a serial killer. These three red flags are called the “psychological triad” which incorporates bed-wetting, fire starting, and animal torture….

Yea.. whatever

The ease with which a person can blend in to the background is astonishing. Those among us with intentions that stray beyond the norm have the luxury, or the burden, of being able to blend in among the sheep. In front of you, beside you is a living breathing and working mind. Victim or aggressor. Predator or prey. There is a cloak of humanity that we are all sheltered under that makes for an interesting study for the right mind.

I’m just like you, in almost every way. I’ve made eye contact with you; I’ve held doors open for your women and children. I’ve picked up items you’ve dropped and handed them back to you, and you treat me as if I am one of you. You don’t know what I’m capable of, the power that I am ready, willing and able to unleash on fellow ‘human beings’. If you did know those fleeting glances, momentary displays of common ‘kindness’ would be few and far between.

Anonymity is the cloak I have decided to don. It makes what I have to do easier for me and it leaves the sheep unaware of the dangers that face them on a day to day basis. If our intentions were branded on us like cattle we’d seldom leave our places of residence. There are more like me than you think. Granted, not as talented as I, but we do exist. Closer than you think. You’re awkward glances on public transport have probably gazed upon the eyes of one like me.

Fear not, what is meant to be will be. Prey are often prey before they are even aware there is a predator.

Think of it as an honour, of all the sheep you have been selected for sacrifice.

Just because you don’t understand what a painting represents, it doesn’t mean it’s not art. Unconventional strokes on a canvas, the use of light and dark. There is a reason behind every dot, line, stroke and smudge.

Just because you don’t see what I mean to do, what I mean to achieve with my work, doesn’t make it any less justified. Am I wrong? Or have you just not seen what I am trying to do yet? All will be revealed in due time. The greatest artists of all time were left to work until their masterpieces were unleashed to the world and what I have in store is sure to be a masterpiece.

Just because my canvas is more…alive than the standard, doesn’t make it more or less spectacular than the standard works. There have been many eras in the world of art. Renaissance, pointillism, gothic…how I love gothic. November 4th marks the start of a new era.

The vision is clear to me, and soon it will be to you too.

Trust me; there is method to the madness

Do you actually know what those terms mean? It turns out that most people think they do, but really they don’t! Do you? Let’s see.

According to Wikipedia:

Psychological thriller is a specific sub-genre of the broad ranged thriller with heavy focus on the unstable emotional states of characters, in combination with mystery and thriller. However, it often incorporates elements from the mystery and drama genre, along with the typical traits of the thriller genre. In addition to drama and mystery, many psychological thrillers contain elements of, and often overlap with, the horror genre, particularly psychological horror.

Now, before we get to the bottom of our main question, let’s have a look at this interesting, and crucial, piece of information:

Psychological thriller – Characters are no longer reliant on physical strength to overcome their brutish enemies (which is often the case in typical action-thrillers), but rather are reliant on their mental resources, whether it be by battling wits with a formidable opponent or by battling for equilibrium in the character’s own mind. The suspense created by psychological thrillers often comes from two or more characters preying upon one another’s minds, either by playing deceptive games with the other or by merely trying to demolish the other’s mental state.

If you have read the book, you should have noticed that many times Bob Bishman used his strength against weaker person, for example to strangle them, and quite a few times he only used very little force just to pull the trigger ;-). Well, that still counts as brutality, of course. That suggests that the book is more of a horror or a book about serial killers in action. Nevertheless, there is some intelligent action on his part – e.g. his escape from Leo Prendegast’s castle – it was a very clever plan. Still, some might argue, there is not enough of a psychological in this. Well, how about when Dr Bill Harvey tricks the policemen and runs away? More? Sure, how about the game Anita and Bob played with Dr Bill Harvey? Now we’re talking.

What moments do you remember from The Creep?

Supposedly, the level of violence, blood, gore, sex, pornography, child abuse, and filth is so high that some people simply cannot stand the fact that such a book is out there. Some nuns started taking series action to ban the book, including talking to authorities and the press. Well, you just have to watch it:
